Honeycomb is sweet with an interesting texture…

Whole grain bread with seeds has a lovely nutty, earthy texture…

Consider combining each with slices of a 1/2 banana and add a cup of warm tea for for a little piece of heaven on earth….

allowing ourselves time to savor each bite … breathe in the aromas … mindfully focusing on the tantalizing tastes and textures of our food…

Ingredients

  • 1 Piece
    Whole grain bread (oatmeal, seeded, flax, gluten free or alternate grain
  • 1 Tablespoon
    natural raw honey
  • large banana
  • 1 Cup
    tea of choice

Instructions

  1. toast bread of choice

  2. Cut off a small piece of honeycomb from natural honey and drizzle honey over toast.
    Place 1/2 sliced banana or fruit of choice atop the bread.

  3. Taste.
    Sip.
    Enjoy

Nutrition: 1 Slice of whole grain bread @ 15 gm CHO/serving = 1 whole grain food 1 Tbsp natural, raw honey approx. 15 gm CHO (varies by type) 1/2 banana = 1 fruit serving To increase protein add 1 TBSP natural nut butter or greek yogurt
